How to disable activating editing mode after clicking on the pop-up preview note?
Sometimes I just want to select some texts and copy, but it always activate editing mode.

I think the best way is using a button to activate editing mode in pop-up note rather than clicking to that.
The clicking feature is likely introduced from version 1.7.4.
Anybody can help?
Sounds like as if you want to modify your standard view.
Go to Obsidians settings>editor
and change your standard view.
Hope this helps.
No, I mean when I click on a pop-up note in reading mode, it switches to editing mode. I just want to copy some text without it switching to editing mode.
Has this been resolved with the alternate link handling in the newest versions of Obsidian? I feel there was a mention of something related to this in a release note recently.
I’d also like an option to disable this behavior (the same problem also exists when adding/embedding a note into a canvas). It makes some very useful plugins, like Obsidian Tabs or buttons from Meta Bind, completely useless when you want to use/click them through the preview window or on the canvas.
+1 why can’t new feature require a key press instead of forced replacing the up until then default behavior? At least offer a setting for it.
I played around with a few different CSS snippets disabling pointer events on different things, and they work for not entering editing mode, but they also had the unfortunate effect of not being able to select any text in the Page preview popup.
There’s a feature request here:
