Seriously, please give users the minimum ability to toggle features off. Ideally I’d like this to be a “click button to edit” in preview. I want to be able to use my note, select text, click links, click buttons etc. in the preview, not have it jump suddenly on the screen and shove my cursor in it so I’m editing the note. Reading view in no way solves the issue, since for example I may be trying to copy a reference from a popover to paste into the note I’m actively editing.

Use case or problem

When using note preview, my main use for it (other than a glance at the note) is to either quickly select some text, or to use interactive elements from Meta Bind plugin.

Unfortunately, clicking on the preview makes it go into an editing mode and there’s no way to accomplish what i want, rendering preview almost entirely useless to me

Proposed solution

I would want to see a toggle in the plugin’s settings to disable opening edit mode on click on preview

Current workaround (optional)

To open notes in new tab rather than using Page Preview plugin
