Hotkey for adding files and folders from the sidebar

Use case or problem

Hi! I really like to use Obsidian keyboard-only, and the app works great that way! My only issue is when I try and create new files and folders from the sidebar. Right not, there seems to be no good way to create a new folder when only using the keyboard (I know I can type in the filepath, but I have a massive vault and its much more convenient to create the folder directly in the sidebar).

Proposed solution

The optimal solution for me would be to add a new hotkey for creating a file when the sidebar is focused. I use VSCode a lot too, and there I can hit Shift+A to create a new folder wherever is focused on the side.

@vinc28 if you don’t mind using a community plugin (while this feature is not implemented in Obsidian), you may be interested in the plugin I created exactly for this purpose - keyboard-based workflow in the native file explorer.

It allows creating folder/notes and many more operations using Vim-like key bindings.
