If I have a results list in the global search and click on a note, this note is not highlighted in the results list. So if I want to open other notes from the list, I always have to guess where I was last. This is extremely impractical with long lists and takes a lot of time.

Thanks for the summary. Then I didn’t search well enough. But all posts lead nowhere, because Obsidian does not have such primitive functions that are available in all other programs.
I don’t understand why I have to install an extra plugin for every standard function, no matter how small. And then the plugins keep causing problems or are not updated. I would also pay for Obsidian if it had all these basic features that you normally expect from such tools.
The queries about my problem are five years old. I don’t understand why something like this isn’t implemented. I have a huge list of problems that make it difficult for me to work effectively with Obsidian. I really need to switch to another tool now.

If you do not move your mouse from the active note and scroll you can keep the highlight on it for a bit, it’s the way I use to keep track when browsing shorter notes.
It’s pretty stupid such a simple highlight isn’t implemented but what can you do, let’s hope the devs see these posts.
