Folder renaming hotkey

Use case or problem

There is a hotkey for ranaming a file, but no hotkey for renaming a folder.

Proposed solution

Add a hotkey for renaming a folder.

You can reveal folders in the file browser by left clicking them in the title bar.

Now, you can also right click directly on the folder name in the tab title and get the context menu

Other trick to rename current folder using only keyboard:

1. open command palette ⌘P and run Files: Reveal current file in navigation
2. press ↓ to gain keyboard focus in Files (this is a bug that focus is not shifted completely)
3. press ← to collapse current folder
4. now press enter to rename an item in Files (folder or note)

Can you think of any reason why this context menu wouldn’t appear for me? I’m right clicking on a folder name in the tab title bar and it is not appearing.

F2 to rename a folder works, the problem is that it is difficult to select/activate a folder. Click on a folder collapse/expands it but does not activate it.

You need to first select a file and then arrow up to a folder and then use F2

Right now, clicking on folder in file explorer collapses or expands it, however it doesn’t activate it. Therefore, keyboard operations (like F2 rename) or arrow up/down (to navigate around) that would otherwise work, do not.
