Expanding syntax in a tutorial note

What I’m trying to do

Hi, I’m new to Obsidian and I want to make a note of things I’ve learned about the app, such as the syntax for adding a URL behind text. However, when I type it out, text, it ofc only shows the text and tries to create a link behind it. Is there any way to type stuff like this fully without it, um, converting?

Thanks in advance!

Things I have tried

I’m struggling to describe what I mean here and even in Google I wasn’t sure what it’s called in order to be able to search for it

edit: lol it did the same thing here too

Hello and welcome.

With :crossed_fingers:

This is a link

You can use single backticks (like this:`) inline:

This is a `[link](https://forum.obsidian.md/t/expanding-syntax-in-a-tutorial-note/57918)`

Or triple backticks above and below a block:

```
This is a [link](https://forum.obsidian.md/t/expanding-syntax-in-a-tutorial-note/57918)
```

Is this what you mean?
