Embedded PDF flashes /jumpes

What I’m trying to do

simply embed a pdf into a note. It used to work (and continues to do for old pdfs) but whenever I try it now, the pdf kind of flashes, jumps around and makes it impossible to read the note.
Embedded images work fine.

Things I have tried

changing from Wikilinks to Markdown, using different formats of linking, dragging the pdf vs. linking manually, all the trouble shooting steps.
Directly viewing an PDF works fine, also just linking to it. The embedded part is the problem

I’m not sure I kind help, but is the happening to all new PDF’s, or just this one PDF from that given source?

I reckon you get what I’m aiming at, and that is to try with a few different new PDFs possibly from the same source, and possibly with some random PDFs from another source. It might be related to the actual PDF, and not Obsidian itself.

(In another context I had over a little time period some issues with some PDFs created a specific way on my mac mini, when trying to display them on a Windows computer. The issue went away when I generate the PDF with a different program. The point being PDF’s can vary in how they’re made, and this can affect how Obsidian renders it (or if it fails somehow) )

The problem is not solved. I’ve got this issue too, with notes and embedded PDFs that used to display correctly. It only recently started to happen. I am using Obsidian version 1.8.9 with the same version installer.

The PDF viewer keeps scrolling the PDF view to the top of the page when any part of it is visible. Trying to scroll away only results in the display jumping back to place the PDF view at the top of the page. The PDF view appears to refresh itself about once per second resulting in a flashing effect.

The embedded PDF files came from a number of different apps, but were typically generated using the Windows built in print-to-pdf print driver (i.e. a fairly typical scenario).
