Use case or problem
I take a lot of notes on Obsidian, especially from scientific papers. I enjoy the note-linking feature compared to Notion or other note-taking apps. However, images take time to reformat once inserted (e.g. editing the code to resize into pixels and having to guess an appropriate size, image cannot be moved next to text). While I am aware it is possible to reformat pictures, this takes time and makes it difficult to take notes smoothly (especially in lectures).
Proposed solution
I am not experienced with coding so I am unsure, but it would be great if there was a way of resizing / dragging around images to place them in certain positions.
Current workaround (optional)
Currently I copy paste an image in and then adjust the pixel size. ![[image.jpg|**400**]]
I have also used the multi-column markdown plugin to move images to be next to text, but this disrupts the flow of note-taking. Although Image Toolkit was also recommended online by other users, I have been unable to save changes made when reformatting images this way and so this plugin does not solve this issue.
I have seen other people post about wanting to find an easier way of manipulating / handling images in Obsidian, and have several friends who have commented that they would switch to using Obsidian for note-taking had it not been for the difficulty in inserting images smoothly.
