Default Templater Hotkeys Bind to East-Asian Inputs Only

Steps to reproduce

  • In macOS, add one East-Asian Input (2-Set Korean, Japanese - Kana, Cangile - Traditional, etc…) to System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources
  • In Obsidian, install the Community Plugin Templater and activate it.
  • Make sure your keyboard input source is set on U.S. or a Latin based input source.
  • In Obsidian, try the default hotkeys Alt + N, Alt + N, Alt + R.
  • Repeat with the East-Asian source input active.

Expected result

Hotkeys will work no matter the keyboard input source.

Actual result

Hotkeys work only when the East-Asian input source is active. U.S. input source triggers nothing.

Environment

  • Operating system: macOS Monterey (12.0.1)
  • Obsidian version: v0.12.19
  • Templater version: 1.9.9
