This would be useful customizable feature to Workspaces (on or off) — however currently Workspaces doesn’t feature settings page at all. Any discussion about customization features to Workspaces should include other related discussions about Workspaces customization.

@CawlinTeffid What do you think about using Shell commands plugin event variable Event: Switching the active pane and general variable {{workspace}} to implement workspace‑switching‑related automatic action.

Here is the list of related customization ideas to Workspaces:

Use case or problem I mainly use workspaces for different uni modules, and with so many folders in my setup, having the corresponding/related folders for different modules open while switching would be very useful instead of having to open/close relevant folders every time I want to revise a different module. Workspace Plugin update 2.0 discussion

Having seen the scrintel presentation recently at Nick Milo’s conference I thought their ‘boards’ worked just like Obsidian workspaces. Many of the requests below are features that mimic something scrintel boards do, or something they could do. I prefer Obsidian so would love to see a workspace plugin update. Combine workspaces and pages or folders to automatically change page layout

It would be great if you can combine certain pages or folders with workspaces. So that when you go to a certain page the layout of the linked workspace is shown. For instance the kanban page has no need for a left and/or right sidebar and should be as width as can be to facilitate more lists. Workspaces core plugin: arrange saved workspaces

Hi. In the workspaces core plugin, I wish there was a way to re-arragne the list of saved workspaces after I created them. I don’t see any such option at the moment. thx!
