Use case or problem

I want to do bulk operation on multiple notes. Shift click works but only for consecutive notes.

Ctrl + left click (the standard way to select multiple files) opens the notes in new tabs

Proposed solution

There are multiple ways:

  • An option to disable the “open in new tab” behaviour
  • Disable that behavior for the Files section only
  • Allow a different shortcut to select multiple notes using the mouse

Current workaround (optional)

None that I know of.

OPT click on macOS. Presume there must be something similar on other OS platforms.

It should be the way you select a “continuous mode”. See that plugin.

Should also work when you click the folder; a continuous mode of notes within the folder should be available if we’re not going to have an index.md for the folder itself.

Alt + Left Click selects multiple non-consecutive files or folders.
