Canvas: unable to copy standalone images and paste into cards or notes

Steps to reproduce

  1. Paste an image from the computer clipboard into Canvas
  2. Use keyboard shortcut to cut or copy the image
  3. Use keyboard shortcut or right-click menu to paste the image into a card or note

Expected result

Image appears embedded in card or note

Actual result

Nothing appears in card or note.

Environment

Additional information

Workaround for moving an image from a canvas into a card or note:

  1. Right-click on image
  2. Click “reveal file in navigation”
  3. Drag highlighted file from navigation bar to desired location in card or note
  4. Remove image from canvas

Ah, didn’t realize that was intended behavior. I’ll write something up.

It’s not indented, but it’s not implemented either.

Ah, gotcha. Unintended, but more along the lines of an oversight or missing functionality (capability gap) than a bug (glitch in implemented code).
