Yes please, I second this. I do a lot of searches and my Search History is not only messy, but frustrating…

I know this is a MINOR problem, and I adore Obsidian, but I would love to be able to do this.

What is the problem with search history?

The search history:

  • Appears only when search pane input box is empty.
  • Disappears after typing first letter of the search string.
  • Is easy to ignore.
  • Keeps only about 20 records, then with each new search, one record is removed from the end, so the history does not become excessively long.

Additionally,
Pressing hotkey for search, selects the search string and pressing delete key deletes search string and hides corresponding search results.

From Obsidian Release v0.10.9 :

Global search now has a way to clear the search history.
