Bases Kanban: "Hide empty columns" off still hides columns with no cards

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a base with a Kanban view grouped by a status property.
  2. Turn “Hide empty columns” off.
  3. Change the only note with a given status (for example “Backlog”) to a different status.

Did you read and follow the Troubleshooting Guide? [Yes/No]

Yes

Expected result

The Backlog column stays on the board, empty.

Actual result

The Backlog column disappears. It isn’t just hidden: searching the page in DevTools finds no element for it at all, even with the board scrolled to the last column. It looks like the Kanban view only creates columns for values that appear in the current results, so the toggle has nothing to show.

Workaround: keep a placeholder note in each status so every column always has at least one card.

Hide “Empty column” was removed in 1.14.3 as it broken/not well implemented.
