Automatically insert notes from daily notes

What I’m trying to do

Hi!

I am searching for a solution for my workflow.

Usually I have a note for example “Project A”. In this note i have different headers/sections for example “Header A”, “Header B” etc.

Additionally I try to work with Daily Notes to add all the tasks and results.

Eg.:
Daily Note from 02.12.2025

Project A 
 Header A
 blablabla

Project B
…

Project C
…

Now I try to find a way to automatically add these Daily Note blocks to the corresponding notes. ideally sorted by date.

Eg.:

Note Project A

Project A

 Header A
 02.12.2025
 content of corresponding daily note with Header/tag Project A / Header A
 
 01.12.2025
 content of corresponding daily note with Header/tag Project A / Header A

 Header B
 01.12.2025
 content of corresponding daily note with Header/tag Project A / Header B

Things I have tried

I tried links and backlinks to get the connection, but in the end it is confusing having a list with 100 links, not knowing the content of it.

I tried an inline query and this already comes quite close to the ideal solution, but i would like to have it inserted like a normal note without needing to scroll within the search frame.

Is there any solution available I didn´t find yet?

I think you’re looking for dataview. You pick a pattern in your daily notes that’s easy to match, then have the project note pull it in. It doesn’t move the text, it just displays it there.

You can also try embedding the daily notes if you want something simpler, but Dataview gives you more control.
