Attachment path constantly reverts to "attachments" when settings is closed (but attachments screenshots still go to correct folder)

Steps to reproduce

Using a fresh install or the sandbox:

  1. Go into Settings > Files and links
  2. Set Default location location for new attachments to In the folder specified below

At this point Attachment folder path contains “attachments”, but greyed out.
  3. Set the attachment folder path to some other folder, e.g. “Adventurer” if using the sandbox

Now “Adventurer” should appear in the attachment folder path field
  4. Close settings, then open again: Attachment folder path now contains “attachments”, not greyed out, instead of Adventurer.

:point_right: It should be noted that attachment files go to the correct folder when pasted into a note, i.e. screenshots land in “Adventurer” even though the path is shown as “attachments” in the settings.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes

Expected result

The attachment file path should remain “Adventurer” after closing settings.

Actual result

The attachment file path constantly reverts to “attachments”.

Looks like this one:

Yes, looks like the same issue. Doesn’t turn up when I search for some reason.

I hit this same bug.

Same Bug here… Obsidian works with the “good path” but always shows “attachments” in the preferences.

I think I did not have this bug while testing Obsidian in local some days ago…

But, this morning I’ve subscribed to “Sync Plus” plan, to sync a MacMini, a MacbookAirM3 and an iPadPro… And I have the same trouble.

NB : In app.json, I have “the good” path.
