Apply “Default view for new tabs” to the "Open today's daily note" command

Use case or problem

I would like the “Default view for new tabs” to apply to the “Open today’s daily note” command as well, as one would expect, given that this is what the user has explicitly set the preference to do.

Proposed solution

Extend this setting to include the daily note opened by the “Open today’s daily note” command. Alternatively, this could be implemented as a simple toggle in the Daily Notes Core plugin settings pane.

Related feature requests (optional)

Last year, a user reported the following bug, which was deemed an intentional feature. I disagree with the rationale provided by the developers and would like to re-open this case: “Default view for new tabs” setting doesn’t apply to “open daily note” command. I track my daily tasks using the built-in daily note functionality, and I believe a significant proportion of users do as well. Why, then, when I open the daily note, does it open in editing mode rather than in reading mode, which displays the checkboxes? Reminder apps on phones do not open tasks in the editing pane either. I would appreciate it if this feature could be reconsidered. Thank you!

(Since I can’t edit this post, let me rephrase the first sentence.

Please extend the “Default view for new tabs” to apply to the “Open today’s daily note” command as well. It would be great to have this consistency, as it aligns with the user’s explicit preference. Thank you!

A bit less demanding - my bad.)
