I found this requested earlier but closed with a workaround: Multiple File Explorer Pane To Drag One File to Another Folder
It’s not a great workaround, as it’s a lot slower to click several times for a single move compared to drag and drop.
The other workaround (using file managers outside of obsidian) isn’t great either - for example, it does not work with the official readwise sync plugin, which keeps a mapping of paths to ids in its settings and data.json, but doesn’t get updated when files are moved outside of obsidian.
We strongly recommend you to search the forum with possible keywords before making a new feature request. If your request is very similar to an existing one, consider liking it and/or making a comment rather than making a new one. Once you’ve searched and determined that this is a new request, delete this line.
