1.7.4 did not fix the input performance degradation caused by opening both canvas and md simultaneously

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new md file and input 5000-10000 characters, including Latex snippets.
  2. Create a new canvas and place this file into it. Open a new tab, one displaying the canvas and the other displaying the md file.
  3. Typing in the md file will still show lag.

Sorry, I got it mixed up. It seems the previous fix was for the panning issue. So, this should be a bug rather than a help request? After opening the canvas, the performance of normal markdown editing also drops to the same level as the canvas.

Ok, open a new bug report, make sure you follow the template and attach a copy of (or a link to) a markdown file where this happens.

Thank you, here it is ,Input performance degradation caused by opening both canvas and md simultaneously

Not sure if related - but while trying to figure canvas performance issues, I noticed that simply opening a canvas will cause changes in the canvas file.
I use git and constantly seeing changes in canvas just from opening, which doesn’t make any sense.
