Hey guys,
For the past few days, I’ve been struggling to get my integration plug-in working properly. It does not import any annotations and comments from Zotero at all. I don’t see any errors from Obsidian or Zotero. It still created a page with the correct citekey, but it wasn’t created in the folder I wanted to. Maybe its because of template? But when I tried it on another vault it worked perfectly.
What I’m trying to do
I just want to import my annotations from Zotero.
Things I have tried
- Recreating everything on another vault and it worked perfectly
- Updating the plug-in
- Reinstalling the Zotero Integration plug-in
These are my zotero integration settings:
Any help would be greatly appriciated!!1!

Nevermind I ended up solving this problem
Hi! I’m getting the same issue as well, i could export the highlighted points but none of my notes attached to those highlighted points appeared. How did you solve it?
Hi there!
I ended up encountering a lot of problems. Reinstalling both Obsidian and Zotero several times, suddenly it started working again.
I don’t know exactly what fixed it, but I think what happened was because my export format was wrong:
In the “Item Format” choose a citation style instead of an export format
Even though it fixes it, I still see the original “XML Parsing Error” in Zotero but not the “CSL Style Error” in Obsidian
What error did you encounter?
Hello,
I am encountering the same issue.
I have updated both Zotero and Obsidian, and I have redownloaded the Better BibTex for Ztoero and the pdfannot2json for Obsidian.
When importing my Zotero annotations, only a note with the cite key as title is created but not the information.
I am suing the template from @Albialy (Thanks!).
Anyone knows how to reconstitute the Zotero-Obsidian workflow?
Thanks!
