Steps to reproduce
The zoom level in Settings > Interface > Advanced resets to 100% (default) every time Obsidian is closed. Shouldn’t that persist over Obsidian sessions?
To reproduce simply set it to something else (like 120%), close Obsidian and reopen.

Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon)
Yes, it seems to be. I just read the thread and i apologize for not having discovered it when searching (before I opened this report). I am purposefully using Mint 22.3 as vanilla as I can; I’m trying to move from developer to user.
I believe Mint 23 will move to Wayland and, although it has been delayed again, it is supposed to “ship” towards the end of 2026. For what I read there, that would solve the problem as it appears to be related to X11 (I don’t know about XWayland but seems to keep the bug alive).
In the meantime, and since you yourself posted in that thread that nobody is looking at the bug, I think I see two options: One is to move to an incredibly old version of Obsidian (1.8.x?) and the other is to install the third-party plugin, albeit temporarily.
Did I summarize the current state correctly?
Thanks
