I mentioned this plugin idea in a feature request I made, but I think the plugin will be more useful for a diversity of use-cases, rather than just mine.
Currently, when we zoom in a page, all other pages are zoomed too.
Every tab has it’s own amount of information, and I believe they should be able to be zoomed in/out as the user needs.
In my example: I would zoom in in the “Tarefas” tab, zoom out in the little preview tab on the right while keeping the main tab unchanged.
Proposed solution
Changing the zoom of specific tabs will make it possible to fit more information in the little space that panes have. Or fill the space not occupied by them.
@Bonvenuto@MxArcher Decided to tinker around and created a plugin to accomplish this:
Works with linked tabs.
Obviously this is in early development but I’ve really wanted something like this for a while. This lets me have a kind of “minimap” of my currently active note.
Let me know what you think! Or if you have any ideas/ requests… I’m not much of a developer but I’ll do my best!
Hi everyone! I’m the author of Vertical Tabs. I’m excited to introduce that my plugin now supports this feature. In comparing with Tabzoom!, Vertical Tabs supports more features and work in every theme and work for every element supported by Obsidian. The most exciting feature is zoom history! It makes Obsidian remember the zoom level for each tab and each file! Works like a charm!
Vertical Tabs is available in Obsidian plugin store. Install to try it out! No BRAT required!
Which plugin should I use?
If you prefer rich functionality and like to try out more advanced workspace management, Vertical Tabs is for you. If you work primarily with text notes and only want to zoom out tabs, then Tabzoom! works great!
