Yuki Night — Soft cream paper by day. Quiet indigo by night.
Hi everyone! ![]()
I’m excited to share Yuki Night, a dual-mode Obsidian theme designed specifically for distraction-free, long-form reading and writing.
Rather than high-contrast neon or pure black/white extremes, Yuki Night focuses on visual comfort, progressive typographic hierarchy, and balanced color temperatures.
Dual-Mode Philosophy
- Light Mode (Cream Paper): A warm, paper-like ivory canvas (
#fffdf8) with deep navy headings—designed to feel like writing on high-quality paper under soft natural light. - Dark Mode (Tokyo Night Slate): A calm indigo canvas (
#1a1b26) inspired by Tokyo Night, with soft ice-blue accents—never harsh, never pure pitch black. - Cohesive Harmony: Both modes share the same blue color family logic, so toggling between day and night sessions feels natural and easy on the eyes.

Key Features
- Progressive Heading Hierarchy: Headings step down gently in contrast and weight within the same color family without abrupt hue shifts.
- Clean, Bordered Callouts: Flat, uncluttered callout design with semantic indicator accents and no heavy background fills.
- Extended Checklist Engine: Dedicated visual icons and semantic colors for task states (
[/]in progress,[!]urgent,[?]review,[*]starred,[i]info, etc.). - Geometric List Hierarchy: Multi-level nested lists transition smoothly across shapes (circle → square → diamond).
- Restrained Code & Tables: Clean, readable code surfaces with syntax highlighting that stays out of your way.
- Subtle Elevation: Flat sidebars paired with a softly defined editor canvas.
