Working on todoist-like quick-add functionality

I’ve always really enjoyed the todoist “quick-add” shortcut feature when working on my desktop. So I was looking into how difficult this would be for Obsidian. Something like;

Basically;

1. User installs app and assigns quick-add keyboard shortcut
2. User defines which note to write to by default
3. Add notes/thoughts/idea’s directly to an “inbox” folder

This is a key missing feature, especially on mobile.

I created a workaround by utilising the Apple Shortcuts app and alternatively Raycast. Not native but gets the job done for me. If interested I can share
