I had an azw3 file and the same thing happened. I used Converter365 azw3 to epub to convert azw3 file to epub. I just opened the file as epub and it worked perfectly. Maybe someone had a similar problem…

I am so happy to have found this thread.

I only wanted to add I tried a few self hosted solutions for displaying in the iframe and the very very best imho is Kavita.

I just downloaded and tested the Custom Frames plugin and it does work. The Obsidian iFrame command doesn’t work like it used to.

The Custom Frames plugin works so well, I may take a break from my Readwise subscription until they wow us with whatever it is they are developing.

I’m using calibre 6.22. When I click reading in obsidian iframe, it takes me to chrome to download the book. Is this normal? I wonder if it’s possible to directly read in obsidian for that my library is local…
