Recently I’ve been getting a need for approval on some of my posts, could someone explain why that has started happening?
Same here. At first I got the response that there were some spam threads and posts and I used the word ‘loan’, hence I was put on hold.
Last time I checked for anything resembling ‘loan’, but couldn’t find anything in my – rather short – text.
I don’t think that is getting something personal, especially on devoted users, but just extra measurement due to more and more SPAM posts. As everyone knows - accounts can be hacked, so I think moderators are taking additional steps to protect the forum.
It may not be enjoyable, but I somehow understand it. I hope that things will get better someday, and the forum will be an idiot (spam) proof
Cheers, Marko
Sorry, We had an influx of spam around a month ago and we had to tighten security/be more restrictive.
It would be nice though, to know why it needs approval. Especially if its word related.
And it would also be nice if you’d considered white listing some of the more known posters. It do feel as a little hurdle when all you want is to help out the community.
If an explanation is provided, then the spammers know what to work on to circumvent it.
One of the most common “false positives”, I have seen recently is some long number or string mistakenly detected as phone number.
The forum software provides user reputation levels and some (but not all!) filters can take that info into account.
I am sorry, I understand it is annoying!
