White blank screen - can't open obsidian or the vaults

i have tons of data on obsidian how to i save them while the app does not open? I use mac and dropbox

It would be better to say what you have tried so far so we have a starting point.

There are a few things to try here from me and Whitenoise. Have you tried those?

Obsidian shows blank window when launched

Do you happen to remember the last note you were working on before the screen went blank? If so, with Obsidian closed, you could try renaming that file in Windows File Explorer or the Finder. If you are willing, another thing to try (with Obsidian closed) is moving or renaming the .obsidian/workspace.json file in the troublesome vault. This will reset the tabs you had open, sidebar position(s), ribbon order, etc., but may get you back to a working state.

If those suggestions don’t work, another thing you could do is make a new vault within Obsidian and then, outside of Obsidian, copy your files and folders into that using the Finder. Don’t copy the old vault’s .obsidian settings folder to the new vault for now.
