When the file path is too long, the top-level folder path is hidden first, not the file name

When the file path is too long, the most relevant contents of the file are hidden first. When my window is not large enough, the first thing that disappears in the long path is my file name, then its upper layer, and the last thing that disappears is the least important top-level folder
Hopefully, like in windows, the first thing to disappear is the bottom folder, and the last thing to disappear is the file name
So I at least know what file I’m opening
Otherwise it looks like I’m opening a bunch of files in a top-level folder
