When editing formulas in Base in a separate window, input becomes disordered

Steps to reproduce

1. Drag Base into a separate window
2. Edit a formula
3. When entering any non-a-z characters (including .), the editing cursor jumps around

In reality, whenever any other characters are encountered, the cursor jumps erratically.

4. Manipulate the created code
