What does Ctrl + s do?

This is a minor question that bugs me for a while now…

Why is there a Save current file | Ctrl + s command when Obsidian uses autosave by default?

Personally I use it to trigger the linting from the Linter plugin but is there any reason to use the command besides special plugin use cases?

I suspect that may be a reminder of early Obsidian versions. Nicole Van der Hoeven describes a use case: Saving your notes - Fork My Brain. However, Obsidian saves when you close a note and when you quit the program, so that use case would not anymore apply.

It forces a save now instead of waiting for the next saving event.
