For databases related to files (where each row is a file and the colums are the properties of that file), i use DB Folder. For databases that do not have a dependency on files i use Dataloom.
DB Folder requires that each entry created is linked to a file. Sometimes i just want to create a database with contents and i dont want each row to be a link to a file. For this i use Dataloom as it does not force the entry to be linked to a note/file.
Are you able to get the DB Folder database refresh automatically if a note is updated?
I have the refresh option enabled but if a file is renamed for example, the database does not refresh. I have to reload the whole db for the changes to be visible.
Thanks for the spreadsheet @imed I had no idea there were so many DB plugins now. I’ve been using Obsidian for 3 years+, and didn’t keep up!
yeah lot of effort in this sense, keep in mind sets and datacore will be updated with new features and i’ll also compare them with the upcoming dynamic view core plugin
