What about using forum services like airtable and the API instead of directly integrating db's into Obsidian?

Last time I asked whether there would be the possibility to add databases to Obsidian notes similar to the way that notion.so does it. The dev’s of Obsidian are obviously against that. But what about (free plan?) service provider for databases such as airtable who expose an API to create and retrieve records?

Do the devs have an opinion on that too?

I’m sure they wouldn’t automatically reject a community plugin that did that.

No objects on plugins.

YAML metadata + dataview (or similar) is a form of database.

Yes, but have you ever used Airtable?
The database functionalities are 100x stronger than dataview.
