I think the best way to do this is with the Templater plug-in. Here’s one of a few threads here talking about this.

One neat feature from text expanders is cursor hints (link from Espanso site) where you could place your text cursor anywhere you want it to be placed in the expanded text after typing instead of having it at the end, which requires added mouse movement if you want to type somewhere in the middle of the text expansion. So far, the Templates plugin does not have this. Adding a template to your note would always place the cursor at the end of the added text. Same problem with the daily notes temp…
