Scope of Experience…
I’m pretty new to Obsidian and new to Templater and Buttons. I do have some familiarity with coding in general. I’ve read the Templater Documentation and the Buttons Documentation. I have experimented a bit with Templater to familiarize with how it works and I feel I understand the gist of it. I have not experimented with Buttons.
Blocking Condition…
Silly thing - I’m not exactly sure how to include just regular content with Templater, if there is more than one way to do that, and/or if any particular way of doing it is better than another. For example, if I want to include a table row I see that I can just put the static content in that you would use Advanced Tables for (in the template) and it will show up in the file created by the template but I don’t know if there is a better way using some Templater command.
I’m also not sure whether, when, or how to style such content.
User Story…
I want to use a button in my Templater template; that, when clicked, creates a 3 column table row that fits the width of the note. The table row should not include a header (just the row only). It should have placeholder text that gets replaced when the field is typed into. Each subsequent click of the button should create an addition row fitting the same description.
Humble Expectation…
I’m hoping that guidance for this question will help me get some traction with using Templater in conjunction with other plugins and set me on my path to making some real, meaningful templates.
Thanks in advance for any help
