Obsidian is messing with my muscle memory from vscode. In vscode the quick open and command pallette is combined: If you type a file name you can open it, and if you type a string starting with > you search the command pallette. I would like similar behaviour in Obsidian.
Proposed solution
In the quick switcher, allow typing > to instead search the command pallette.
I have to map Obsidian’s hot key from Cmd+O to Cmd+P and Cmd+P to Cmd+Shift+P to align with VSCode also :)))
I hope that quick switcher to have some revamp with > and be able to search with prefix like file: or tags: since I don’t want to switch my left-sidebar to search.
I think typing > would need some hints in the user interface and you get also that feature using Quick Switcher++ community plugin. Users who use community plugins are willing to find out how to use them.
