Visual distinction between work and personal vaults

Hi! I have two different vaults:

  • a work vault, which I’ll have to abandon for IP reasons whenever I stop working at my employer, and is not shared with non-work machines
  • a non-IP sensitive personal vault, which I’ll keep for the forseeable future, and is shared to multiple computers.

I often have both open at once on my work machine, and have made the mistake repeatedly of putting a work note in personal or vice versa. Is there a way to have different vaults be visually distinct from one another (different CSS for the background color, for example) even when opened by the same instance of the Obsidian application?

If I’m understanding you correctly, you’re saying you want two different vaults to look different. If so, then installing a different theme in each vault will give you what you want - themes in obsidian are individual to each vault.
