I am guessing this is a false positive but not trusting it until fixed with the signatures. Microsoft Defender is detecting this on my work laptop after upgrading.
Downloaded installer from Obsidian.md · GitHub so not using some shady download.
This is a false positive. I am on windows too and I am not getting this. Which antivirus are you running exactly?
FYIO I get this message when trying to run latest installer from Download - Obsidian. Not sure if that helps any (I’m not too technically minded I’m afraid).
That is not a virus warning, that is the windows smartscreen.
Since this is a new download and it is not known to Microsoft to be safe, they show you this warning.
