Video Playback Causes Freezes

Steps to reproduce

Taking notes on a video lecture on a second screen, screenshotting on Windows 10 and alt-tabbing back to Obsidian on main screen.

Expected result

Pasting a screenshotted PNG while lecture continues, taking notes beneath it.

Actual result

Ob.md becomes unresponsive, unfreezes on its own after some time or immediately if video is paused.

Additional information

No errors in console. CPU/GPU usage drops out completely when the bug is encountered. Attempted turning hardware acceleration on and off again for Ob.md to no substantial change. Opening a new note in order to reduce note rendering weight did not have a noticeable affect. This is a relatively new phenomenon: other fairly large notes have not caused this issue.

This is seems more a windows bug than an obsidian’s bug.
You can try to download and reinstall obsidian and disable gpu acceleration in settings>about
