VaultGuard (formerly Locksidian) preventing setting changes

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to use VaultGuard (aka Locksidian) to keep my vault secured since I have sensitive information on there. But I am experiencing a little issue.
Everytime I set VaultGuard up one of the following things happen:

  • I loose access to my vault, because my password suddenly does not work
  • Any changes I make in my settings do not save, including installing themes, changing the ribbon menu, etc.

Things I have tried

I naturally respond by investigating the issue and it turns out that when I delete VaultGuard completely, I am no longer experiencing the issue, that my settings and all other changes I made don’t save. And of course, there’s no password to insert anymore, which means I am no longer locked out.
I also tried unchecking “read-only” mode as well as removing the windows encryption on my files and I am honestly unsure whether that did anything since I had deleted VaultGuard before checking.
Has anybody else experienced this issue? If yes, is it fixable? I do not want to leave my files open to everybody so this would be a great help!

Considering the plugin hasn’t been added in the community store yet and that, from a quick Discord search, you seem to have encountered issues with it for some time now, I think you might need to report all this directly to the dev by opening an issue on the GitHub repo :blush:

Thanks for the reply, and yeah I have had issues with VaultGuard in the past but I do not recall it being the cause for my stuff not safing. :thinking:

Looks like it actually isn’t the plugin. Issue returned after some time!
