"Vault size over limit"

Today, one of my vaults started reporting “Vault size over limit” and will no longer sync. But I only have 2 vaults and they are less than 100 MB, together. I double checked the root vault folders in Windows explorer and confirmed this. I also tried the Purge feature, didn’t help. So I shouldn’t be anywhere close to the limit, and I don’t think I am, because the other vault is unaffected and still syncing normally. Only one vault is affected. How do I start debugging this?

Don’t add other files. Attach the sync logs from all your devices.
Also if you hover the sync icon what does it say?

The sync icon sometimes says “Indexing…” and other times “Uploading .md”

Btw, I tried creating a new (3rd) vault and copying the contents of the broken vault to it. It synced everything and is working just fine. Not over limit.

what happens if you pull out these 3 files that are continuously trying to sync?

What does the sync log say on desktop?

When I remove those 3 files from the vault folder, it fully syncs:

But if I put back any one of them, OR if I create a brand new file which is totally unrelated to those, it’s immediately back to Vault Limit Exceeded.

Having the same problem. Valut is about ~500mb, Obsidian reporting 10.01/10.00 gb. Not sure what to do.

We are aware there is an issue with the prune command.
Create a new remote vault and use that.
