Using SSH for Git repository syncing

I am a long time Obsidian user. I have been using Obsidian Git for months now. Due to some non-Obsidian related issues, I’ve had to start over again with a new OS (Manjaro) install.

I set up ssh keys for my Github account, and they work great for the most part. I can clone, pull, push… without issue BUT Obsidian doesn’t seem to agree with this.

I have already gone over the steps provided by Github

One thing to note is that my SSH keys do not have the default name of id_ed25519, but github_ed25519.

Obsidian Git to my knowledge uses the http(s) protocol. Login to GitHub account and token (passwords no longer accepted) are needed. There are at least 2-3 forum threads about this.
