Using Obsidian, Scrivener, and Zotero together as a system

I love good tools, and as a writer, most of the tools I use are for writing. I appreciate the intricacies of good software, and I like getting into the guts of things to make them work they want I want them too. This is one of the reasons that I love writing with Scrivener, and other tools like Zotero and Obsidian. Here’s how I’m currently using them together as a system for reading, writing, research notes, citations, foot/endnotes, and bibliography generation.

Thanks for the write up. Helped me think about how I use Obsidian.

TIL about Scrivener. I mostly use Obsidian, but I like learning about other apps/tools and how people integrate them into their systems.

I probably won’t dive into Scrivener (909 page user manual is a deep dive indeed ). But it’s interesting nonetheless to read how you’ve benefited from its use.

The fact you love using Scrivener means there’s something to it for sure—Thanks for sharing!

scrivener is dope, you shouldn’t sleep on it
