Using Eta (or EJS) template engine to substitute YAML frontmatter?

Hello everyone!

I found a template engine that could litterally substitute YAML frontmatter in Obsidian.
It seems easy to configure.
Moreover, we can (and should*) create our own Obsidian plugin in no time,since all the required information are available on the web page with tutorials and a playground.

Nevertheless, I chose to post on the forum in order to

  1. obtain more information about such engine and,
  2. possibly hear about a better substitute, or
  3. read some reviews from those who have previously used that tool
