Using data view to sort a list of linked files in alphabetical order

What I’m trying to do

Hello,
I am new to data view and so my apologies if I missed this topic in the resolved threads. I searched, but seems all sort functions relate to numbered items or word lists.

In my MOC, I set up a data view list at the start that shows all files/notes that are connected via a link. For example, I make notes on “how to” in Obsidian of functions I use. In my Obsidian How To MOC, I have generated a list of all files and notes linked to [[my obsidian]] as the way I identify obsidian how-to’s that I use often. This list is not showing up in alphabetical order. I’ve tried a few things, copied from the some suggestions here—but they seem to focus on numbered items and not an alpha-based listing.

Things I have tried

tried searching “alphabetize dataview files list” “dataview function for…” “order list by alpha in dataview” “dataview functions for alphabetizing lists” and other related.

What is the query you are using at the moment, and what sort values are you using? Might be something as simple as:

```dataview
LIST
FROM ""
SORT file.name ASC
```
