Make Kanban checkboxes (the ones you display using ‘Display card checkbox’) use css snippets that apply to checkboxes in notes.
I am using lTS checkboxes because my tasks statuses are slightly complex. But so far it only uses the default checked-unchecked theme.
CORRECTION: the second item is actually a ‘Working’ status
Kanban is a community plugin, so Help or Custom CSS & Theme Design is the correct category for this.

The alternative checklists work fine in a kanban for me →
I would investigate if there’s a theme and/or plugin conflict causing the ITS checklists not to render in kanban cards.
