Unwanted popup when inserting template

The documentation of Templates on the Obsidian help site says:

If your template folder contains only one note, Templates inserts it directly into the active note.

That is very convenient, but does not actually happen. Even if there is only a single note in the template folder I am still shown the selector and have to click on the single option before the template is inserted.

Steps to reproduce

  • Create a template folder with only a single note in it.
  • Set that template folder in the settings for templates.
  • Click on ā€œInsert templateā€ icon in the ribbon

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y]

Yes

Expected result

I expected the template to be inserted directly, as stated in the documentation.

Actual result

There is a popup window with a single option that I need to click before the template is inserted.

Additional information

It looks like the documentation here is out of date. It is no longer expected that ā€œInsert templateā€¦ā€ automatically inserts the text when you only have one template.
