Unintentional sidebar triggering on mobile

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any note. One that contains wide table or a Base is even better.
  2. Swipe left until you reach the rightmost column.
  3. Swipe left again.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Y

Expected result

Note/table should scroll to the rightmost position and stop, ignoring subsequent left scrolling.

Actual result

Right sidebar opens. The threshold for that seems a bit sensitive and it doesn’t take touch area into consideration – I think it would be more intuitive if it would open only if the swipe begins at the rightmost side/edge of the screen.

Has this started happening in 1.10.x or was it there before?

I’m pretty sure it has been this way since I started using Obsidian in 2023. However, the recent addition of Bases made it more common, since horizontal scrolling is now more prevalent.

ok, I reviewed this. I don’t consider this a bug.

Open a FR for this, THanks!
