Here is the thing: in most of my notes, when I go the the unlinked mentions of the backlink section, many of the unlinked mentions do appear in double and some don’t. I thought it was relatd to aliases but I don’t find a clear pattern anyway.
Here is an image from the note MOC SDM, with the backlinks coming from note EGU 2025 abstract.
It’s matching multiple versions of your aliases. One for “Species Distribution Modelling”, one for “species distribution modelling”, one for “SDM”, etc.
It’s case insensitive, so you need only one version (regarding the cases) in your aliases list.
I’ve never seen a setting for it. The default is case insensitive.
You can watch it in action by deleting, say, your title-case version of the alias, and you should immediately see one of your repeated “unlinked mentions” results disappear. (At least, it does in v1.9.4 when I double-checked yesterday.)
