Unable to select text via keyboard or mouse

Steps to reproduce

Keyboard selection : Shift+ doesnt highlight the text, the cursor moves
Mouse Selection: Drag the mouse over text, doesnt highlight the text, the cursor moves

Expected result

Both with keyboard and mouse, the text should be highlighted, selected and should be copied

Actual result

No text highlighted or selected

Perhaps it would help to update the installer by doing a fresh download and reinstalling?

As angel said, update the installer and then try to reproduce in the help vault.

Installed again. In safemode, the feature works as expected.
I guess I have to do the hard job of removing plugins one by one
