Unable to select PDF text on iPad beta (1.4.8 (107))

What I’m trying to do

On the current iPad beta version, I am trying to select text in PDFs that I have saved as attachments in my Obsidian vault. I am able to select and link to text in these same PDFs from the desktop version. I assumed from the beta "What to Test instructions ==> PDF: Fixed text selection" that text selection should work. However, it does not work. Not sure if this is a bug or intended functionality.

Things I have tried

I searched the forum for this and googled it generally.

You should get a link if you copy the selection and paste it into a note

Mobile copy defaults to what is labeled “Copy as quote” on desktop

The problem is rather (at least for me) that I can’t select anything on Ipad Mini and Iphone in a Pdf…

That’s exactly the issue I have as well. None of the text is selectable, even in a PDF where I am certain its been OCR’d.

Is there a way to simply copy / paste a link to the selected text? I note that you say it defaults to pasting the quote. What is the non-default behavior?
